Aquariums with a height of more than 23.6” it is suggested to choose bracing.

Aquariums over 26” require bracing.

Aluminum Banding

Made with aluminum, the banding wraps around the exterior of the aquarium including above the edge of the rim.

PVC Banding

Made of durable PVC vinyl, the banding wraps around the exterior of the aquarium leaving the rim exposed.

Cost and strength are the same between the two joint types. We recommend regular 90 degree for saltwater aquariums and mitered 45 degree for freshwater aquariums.

Cost and strength is the same between the two silicone colors. We recommend black silicone for saltwater aquariums and clear silicone for freshwater aquariums.

Full plumbing is recommended when ordering both a custom aquarium and sump.

Partial plumbing is recommended when ordering a drilled aquarium. Partial plumbing includes bulkheads (with US standard conversion parts) and the plumbing for the overflow box allowing you to easily plumb to your own sump.
