Waterbox Aquarium Warranty

At Waterbox, we take pride in designing products built to perform for years to come. Every Waterbox product is manufactured to the highest standards and backed by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Aquarium Systems & Cabinets

Limited 3-Year Warranty

Waterbox Aquariums warrants Waterbox glass aquariums and matching cabinetry against defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years from the original date of retail purchase.

Please Note:

  1. The 3-Year Limited Warranty applies to aquarium systems purchased on or after November 1, 2024.

  2. Aquarium systems purchased before November 1, 2024 remain covered under their original 2-Year Limited Warranty.


If a covered manufacturing defect occurs during the warranty period, Waterbox will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product or component with new or refurbished parts.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal residential use, including defects in:

  1. Glass aquarium construction

  2. Factory silicone seams

  3. Cabinet structure

  4. Materials

  5. Manufacturing workmanship


What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Damage caused during shipping or transit

  2. Accidental damage

  3. Misuse or abuse

  4. Neglect or improper maintenance

  5. Improper installation or leveling

  6. Use on a non-approved or inadequate stand

  7. Damage caused by moving or relocating the aquarium

  8. Damage caused by acts of nature including floods, fires, lightning or earthquakes

  9. Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect structural integrity

  10. Normal wear and tear

  11. Consumable items including filter socks, filter sponges, O-rings, rebound kits, and similar maintenance items

  12. Damage resulting from modifications including drilling, cutting, or altering the aquarium or cabinet

Any modification to the aquarium or cabinetry will immediately void this warranty.

Warranty Limitations

Waterbox's responsibility under this warranty is limited solely to repair or replacement of the defective product.

Waterbox is not responsible for:

  1. Aquarium livestock

  2. Corals

  3. Fish

  4. Plants

  5. Personal property

  6. Water damage

  7. Lost time

  8. Installation costs

  9. Removal or reinstallation costs

  10. Incidental or consequential damages arising from product failure.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In those locations, portions of these limitations may not apply.

Lighting & Equipment

Limited 1-Year Warranty

Waterbox lighting, pumps, filtration equipment, reactors, skimmers, power supplies, and other Waterbox-branded electrical equipment are covered by a One (1) Year Limited Warranty from the original date of retail purchase.

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use.

If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, Waterbox will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective product or component.

Covered Products

This warranty includes Waterbox-branded equipment such as:

  1. LED Lighting

  2. Protein Skimmers

  3. Reactors

  4. Power Supplies

  5. Filtration Equipment

  6. Other Waterbox electrical accessories

What Is Covered

The warranty covers manufacturing defects including:

  1. Electrical failures resulting from manufacturing defects

  2. Defective internal components

  3. Manufacturing workmanship

  4. Factory defects affecting normal operation

What Is Not Covered

The equipment warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  1. Improper installation

  2. Improper maintenance or cleaning

  3. Misuse or abuse

  4. Unauthorized repairs or modifications

  5. Operation outside the product's intended use

  6. Salt creep or corrosion caused by improper maintenance

  7. Water intrusion into products not designed for submersion

  8. Use with incompatible accessories or power supplies

  9. Power surges, electrical fluctuations, or lightning

  10. Physical impact, dropping, or accidental damage

  11. Cosmetic wear including scratches, discoloration, or fading

  12. Normal wear of consumable components including impellers, seals, tubing, filter media, and similar service items

Products that have been disassembled, modified, or repaired by anyone other than Waterbox or an authorized service provider are not covered under this warranty.

Warranty Service

If you believe your product has a manufacturing defect, please contact the Waterbox Support Team before attempting any repair.

To submit a warranty claim, please provide:

  1. Proof of original purchase

  2. Product model

  3. Product serial number (if applicable)

  4. Photos or videos of the issue

  5. A description of the problem

Additional troubleshooting information may be requested to assist with claim evaluation.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty applies only to products purchased through Waterbox or an authorized Waterbox dealer.

Products purchased from unauthorized resellers, auction sites, or private sales may not be eligible for warranty coverage.

The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original retail purchaser.

Outside the Warranty Period

If your product is no longer covered under warranty, our Support Team will be happy to assist with replacement parts, repair options (when available), or discounted replacement products whenever possible.
